The Park, mid-afternoon
He snores. Dear sweet baby Jesus, that ass snores!
I've banished him to the basement. Only to sleep. Ares is using the spare bedroom, but he's not the only one in the house and when I caught Rose having thoughts about fixing his nose, well... at least he's not put off by having to sleep down there. Was rather pouty about the renovations and was needling me to put the basement back the way it was, but I shut that conversation right down. Some things are better left in the past.
On the up side, having a house crasher means that I have a baby-sitter on hand. Grumbles about that too, but only to my face. Rose finds him hilarious and likes his company, and yesterday I saw a tiny wooden sword in her hands as he told her a story. And honestly, as far as baby-sitters go, I doubt she could be safer.
With that in mind, I decided to take an hour to myself. Just for a walk around the park. Grabbed a cup of coffee from Tulz and a danish from the bakery. Took myself on a nice meander down by the pond, then found a lovely tree and bench to park myself on and enjoy the breeze. Sip my coffee and watch the world pass idly by as I catch snippets of Rose's giggle in my head as the breeze russles the leaves above my head.
