[Outside the Sacred Whore]
I've good reasons to want to go along, on this matter; minding Iago, and wanting to know what the hell Dorian's doing, and wanting to lay hands on more slivers from the beam in the basement of the Sacred Whore--and I'm somehow not thinking it's a sound plan t'go by there alone. Countering that, there's Dorian maybe deciding he needs to send the Shuck another message for his last one being erased, and anything he might set himself to saying in sharpness. Don't care much if he tears into me, but I mislike the idea of him laying out that I took his sins from him. Ought not have done that, truly.
(I hate having cause to feel guilty, usually manage to keep from doing anything that'd warrant it. None of which makes this any easier.)
And in the end--well. I want some measure of the whole of this. So leave the apartment, and head to Main and downstreet to Lucien's office under clouds and a faint chill, and then on down Main to Silk, and Silk to the Sacred Whore.
Lovely afternoon this'll be, I'm sure.
