"At the same time? Wow." I'm impressed, but it also seems kinda complicated, goin' 'round with more'n one person. "Glad you're friends, though."
It ain't easy to stay friends after breakin' up. Me'n Faith did it, but we wasn't together for much, and, well, she's Faith. And me'n Zann took months to get back to bein' friends like we was before. Glad we did, though. Bein' friends with Zann again's been one of the best things 'bout the last few years. Don't think I'd want to be somethin' more'n friends with her again, but I'm always happy that I did.
Then Ri explains how it wasn't always just pretty butterflies. Didn't think it would be.
"Kinda. It was a kinda freaky that for a couple days no one could speak English. Anytime you tried to say somethin' it would come out in a another language. An everyone got a different one. The folks who already spoke other languages was real useful. They still got stuck with speakin' nothing but whichever random language happened to stick but at least they could help by bein' able to listen to the poor sap who got stuck with not bein' able to talk so's most other people could understand."
Yeah, that sounds more like Excolo. I don't want to look at the Tower, but that just makes me more scared that I'm gonna look at it. "That ain't as much fun as butterflies. Did…someone do it on purpose, to mess folks up? Or was it by accident?"
