To me it seems the sort of grand gesture you might make if you're trying to distract someone, but I don't say that. Not yet, anyway. "And Lannie's worried... She has had a horrible time of it lately, which might make her see dangers that aren't there. But," I add, seriously, "with Excolo as it is, I'm more minded to pay attention to someone who's warning of danger than someone who says there's no danger at all." I sip my tea. "Can you tell me more about what Lannie said about Verdandi?"
