She looks so happy, likes she enjoys me and what I’m doing. She’s moving like it, too, and the noises she’s making are very distracting. Takes my suggestion to move to a more private place by leaning past me to change the sign, her hand on my chest probably not by accident. I want to kiss her again, but that’ll lead to other things, and we do need to get out of here. Well, there’s one way to hurry things along. Hope she’ll let me get away with it.
With her standing so close, it’s easy to bend down and scoop her up, one arm under her knees and the other around her shoulders. “Point the way, sweetheart.” She’s a lot lighter than Tarquin was last night, but my knee still twinges a bit. She’s a lot warmer, too, which helps, though. I lean forward and kiss her on the temple, think that this week’s finishing up just fine. “And if there’s anything I need to know, you’d better tell me now.” Hope she’ll ask any questions she has now, too.
