Lilith really is in a most sulky mood today. It is interesting, insofar as I wonder what has piqued her. It does make her irritating, however.

I wave my hand.
"Keep your secrets," I say. "If Marbas is freed, then I will find another way to punish him for his gross inadequacies. You know that he had regrets?" I laugh and shake my head. "What a great disappointment he is. I am surprised you give him the time of day, diminished as he is."
“I love you, Tezcatlipoca, love you so much.”
I roll my eyes.
"Marbas's fondness for a human is hardly the same as my interest in a god. And Tezcatlipoca's interest in the Danika body is hardly more reprehensible than your liking for boyflesh," I observe, raising an eyebrow. "Tez wishes I loved him, but I do not love. You know that better than most," I say.
