I laugh, “Fair enough,” I say, face resuming its smile as we walk toward the ferris wheel and Iblis buys tickets for us both. The worker who runs the ride is the very same one that was here when Marbas and I went on this ride; he had the same look on his face then too.
"Speaking of things you do without me caring, I hear our old friend Marbas has been out and about lately. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?" he asks, once we get to the top of the wheel.
It appears Marbas has been going out on more outings than I thought. The fool, he should know better.
I laugh and shrug, “Of course I know. Did you think such a thing as that would remain a secret?” I smile, “And what does that have to do with me? From what I understand, you were the one who put him there.” I’d still very much like to know why.
