Murder is terribly exhausting.

Outside the Doctor's Office
Late afternoon, Monday May 3rd

It is one of those beautiful Spring days that poets write about, that make children look out schoolroom windows longingly, and have people out enjoying the sunshine in droves.

It is most inconvienent.

It's been increasingly harder to find Lucien alone.  That night of him railing and moaning by the fire was the closest I've come, but that damn bartender came along as I started to move in.   And now he's got the dark haired girl back in his bed and apartment.  Complication after complication.  It's not that I shy away from bloodshed, not at all.  And if the truth be told, I am getting to the point where I will kill half the town if I bloody well have to...

but now knowing exactly how long it will take to be restore to my self after Lucien breathes his last.  Well, I don;t want to be caught in human form by a lynch mob before I find out.  It would amuse Iblis, I am sure, if I were to kill the man and then find myself dangling from the hangman's noose before I revert back.

I take a sip of coffee and shift myself to a more comfortable position under a tree.  To everyone else, I am just the mild mannered school teacher relaxing in the sun.  But not for much longer if I can help it.

"She is still a kitling, all we can do is wait and see if anything else presents itself as she grows."

That is another thing. Her growth, it has slowed. That too may be due to her time spent away from the garden. I'm beginning to rethink the idea of allowing her out.

"You are incorgable!Seduce him, leave him, then whirl back into his life. Wicked thing, you."

Giggling, I shrug. "Free will, my darling, Free will." Dream or not, they choose their path. In some ways it is a shame that most of them are walking around asleep and refuse to wake up. I can't help but softly hum the tune called "Dream a little dream" as Marbas rumbles "As My Lady wishes."

Laughing in delight, I purr against his neck, nipping at it, "Catch me if you can." Jumping to my feet, I laugh and run away like a mortal girl. It is an old game but one to remind him of what he once was. One he has little chance of winning now, in the weak form he is in.

Though, I may change it and allow him to catch this time. Then he can beg.

My laughter dances in the breeze as I run down the street, bringing men to peer out their windows and doors as if called. Laughing harder, the air is like a lovers soft kiss on my cheek as I stay just out of his reach.

Leading him to the park I dance into the forest, spinning around shrub and tree. For a moment it is almost as it was in a place time long since forgot. I could easily let this shell fade, raising the difficulty of the game. I hide behind an old tree, instead.

The heart in his body is strong, blood and breath running quick from the chase. My Lion remembers this game. It is a reminder of how limited he is now that his weakness is not by choice. Muffling a giggle behind my hand, I peer around the tree, knowing exactly where he is.

Faster than I anticipated, I am being pulled against him. Warm lips trailing from throat to foot. My body molds to his,and I sigh, pressing against those lips.

Gazing down into his eyes, I smile. At least those are still the same, just lacking the burning flame. I miss my Arik and to see him kneeling in supplication pleases me. That simple gesture alone. It was one of the things that caught my attention. I do like games, and I have missed those too.

Only using human force, I set my bare foot on his shoulder, "And what is it my servant desires from his lady and offers in return?" I ask, head tilting in curiosity as I look down at him. My foot radiating heat that should make simple thought difficult for him. His answer should be fun. We may have to keep this mortal shell after he gets his true self back. It is fun to play with.

Smirking, I watch his reaction to my words. Someone doesn't like them. Who better than I would understand the reason? I serve no one, nor will my daughter. But my touch is enough to dispel his natural reaction, or distract him from it, making my smile widen.

"I desire all you would give, but ask for nothing بلادي أجمل النار. And in return, I give you all that I am, my form, my mind, my blood..."

I giggle and clap as his head tilts back. Licking my lips, I watch that thick vein in his throat pumping blood furiously. He has been taught a lesson for lesser displays of weakness in my presence.

Ohhh he tempts me now does he? He knows better than that. I laugh again and place my palms on either side of his head, raising him to his feet. Bending his head back again, my tongue slowly along his neck, stopping at that singing vein. My teeth graze it just enough to scratch but not draw blood. Moving his head back, I nip around his lips teasingly, pausing to smile and murmur, "We bow to no one.You will bow to no creature ever again, my Lion." Winding my arms around his neck and standing on the balls of my feet, I giggle and give him a kiss. Like I kissed him long ago.

His body freezes at first, then relaxes into mine. Laughing against his lips, I pull away and take his hands. "The garden is still ours," I purr, pulling him in that direction.

Running again, I stay just out of his reach as I laugh pulling my dress over my head tossing it in his direction behind me. It is not far now and that should speed him up a bit. But it is not enough. I speed up once its in sight.

Of course I reach the heart of my garden first. I can hear it when he enters, so I crouch in the flowers and pounce on him as he passes me by. Laughing again, I dodge his kisses playfully, stripping him of his clothes.
