He confirms my hopes, twirling a dagger in his hand. Such a simple tool, but one he needs, no doubt. The doctor may very well be able to over power him in that human shell he's trapped in.
"Of course. Just need to catch him alone, when there's no one about to help."
"Naturally," I say, rolling my eyes. This has gone on far too long as it is. I give Iblis a slight smile for his ever so annoying creativity. The riot was a beautiful work of art as well. I could have done better, of course. It is too bad I missed the party. Though, I was captivated by it. Just like his god, a supernova, for the good of a human. Iblis must have been so disappointed. You'd think he would be used to it by now. There is an Adversary for a reason. We are the rejected children, ever punished for both doing as we're told and not.
Perhaps I'll rebel again just to mix it all up. It has been so long, that thought does not make me smile.
I do, however, laugh at Marbas calling Celeste a sneak. "She's so much like you, so I am not overly surprised. Do you know where she is, should we go follow at a distance and see what mischief she gets herslef into?"
"I do," I say nodding, seeing a brief flash of rope jumping and the sound of song. "She'll know if we follow and disappointingly enough, no mischief, just play," I sigh, "But she's safe." Just children. That is bad enough but not as bad as it could be. Enough of that.
Giving Marbas a level stare, I tilt my head and ask, "But will you do what is necessary when the time is right?" I still question that. He's far too attached to that doctor. I can remove anything that gets in his way...
